We welcome Kacey of Kacey Louise Photography, a young and up-and-coming local photographer who recently launched her business. Welcome, Kacey.

Hi.

Where does your passion for photography stem from?

When I was younger, I've always took an interest in. I think mainly it's been landscapes, you know, driving around the countryside and to see, like a nice, pretty view, for example, like sunset or just a nice area. Ever since then, I've had an interest in it, and as soon as I could study it in college, I went for it. And I've been doing it for the past four years and something I want to continue doing.

Which college did you go to?

South Cheshire College.

So how would you describe your style? Have you found your style yet?

I don't think I've got my own style just yet. I think I'm still trying to work that out. I definitely take what other people do via Instagram or TikTok and kind of just tweak it. So it's not the same.

We're obviously always influenced by other people. We take ideas from other people. What would you say that influences your work? Or who would you say influences your work?

I don't know, there's anybody individually that influences my work that I can think of in my head, get a lot of inspiration via Tick Tock or things I see on Instagram. I may see you post on like the explore page, or if I'm on TikTok and I'm just scrolling through and I'll call it the photography hashtag op. It'll be like a few people at pop up are doing a certain style, and it kind of influences my work because there's there was this one person cannot remember a name. I think her first name was Helen Vaccaro, the last name she did a certain type of self-portraiture, and I kind of did that in my own way, and I did really enjoy it. So it could be a lot of different people from the internet that inspire me.

What would you say at the moment is your favourite subject to photograph?

I love taking pictures of people because I feel like you can tell a story when taking photos of people, because you get to learn a bit more about them, what they like, what they dislike, and you just get to have that conversation one along with another person, rather than trying to photograph a building and not photograph some trees, for example. I do like being able to communicate with people and photograph people, and then being able to look at the pictures afterwards and be proud of the work. And obviously Park put out pictures of themselves. Basically.

I think that's really important for people, especially in this day and age where it's very digital to have photographs that people can actually print and display, especially family, friends. That's actually quite a unique thing to be doing these days. Yeah, definitely.

So where is it that people can go to see examples of the work that you've already done?

If you go on social media, such as Facebook and searching my username, Kacey Louise Photography. It will be a profile picture with my logo with my name and a picture of a camera's logo, and that's got quite a lot of my work on there. I also. Majority of my work on my Instagram page, which should have the same icon but with a different username, which is Kacey Visuals and then underscore. Underscore. And I also have my own website which is KaceyLouise.com, where it showcases a lot of my work as well.

Great, nice and simple. Uh, website address I love it. I've also seen that you've posted quite a few times on Facebook through some of the groups. Is that somewhere else that people can find you?

Yeah, I like to try and share my work for other groups because it helps people being able to see my work and come over to my page. And then if they're ever interested, they can get in touch.

How is it that our local community can support your business?

Just having coming over to any of my social medias, or maybe check it out website, just showing a bit of love by maybe liking a picture, maybe commenting on a picture, sharing with friends and family, and just being able to like, sort of promote it without paying anything. It's great because you could just like share, comment, all that other stuff and then if they are, if you are ever interested in the work, then maybe dropping a message and seeing where it goes because it helps me gain work, but also create that connection as well.

And your portfolio will definitely benefit from that as well, won't it?

Yes, 100%. So if anyone is thinking about having some photographs done, what sort of events is it that you've covered before? So I've done one wedding in the past, and I have a few coming up where I'm going to be able to learn a bit more about wedding photography and just to improve that side of things. And I've also done like a football event where it's been like an end of the season kind of events, was like a party. I do football matches every other Sunday for a local under 15 team, which I absolutely loved him in the team and the people that are great. I do my own events as well. On Facebook. I last time I did a free photo shoot then which got quite a few people called it, which was great and it went really well. I do have an event coming up on the 16th for student photographers as well. Yeah, it's great to just be able to use social media to promote myself and showcase the different things I don't.

Absolutely and definitely some advice for anyone who does see your pages and your posts are on social media. Like you said before, it doesn't cost anything to like or to share or to comment, but it does your exposure. The world of good.

Yeah, definitely. It definitely helps to showcase and promote yourself a lot more that the community can really help you with that content. Yeah.

Well, thank you so much for joining me today, Kacey. It's been amazing to speak to you, and I absolutely wish you the very best with your up-and-coming events. And fingers crossed you get lots of bookings.

Thank you very much.
